Dusty Attic - you make me so happy

Hello!

Look at this gorgeous Mood Pallet and Sketch that Dusty Attic have for their February Challenge

You can use the sketch and or the Mood Pallet!

Here is my interpretation.
I have used both the Mood Pallet and sketch.

{you make me so happy}

You were a bit spoilt  and probably got way too many Easter Eggs, but I  wanted to carry  on the tradition that my Mum did for us as kids.  We found Easter Eggs in our straw nests  over 3 days. Both sets of grandparents gave Mum eggs for us and she  hid then and put them in the nests  on 2 days  and the Easter Bunny filled our nests on Easter Sunday. We were spoilt as kids too!
Easter Time 2000.
Pa bagged the straw from the farm and dropped it off just before Easter for you to  make your big  nests. Mums flower garden seemed to be the best spot. It was always such an exciting time....awake early, you would grab  Matthew and head outside for a look... and of course The Easter Bunny  had spilt a few little ones along the way.  Watching you bursting with excitement, and  listening to your little squeals of delight  was wonderful. You were always thankful for what you got and shared the little ones out so you both had the same. Quite often it was chocolate for breakfast....a great way to start the day!

A close up showing some of the gorgeous Dusty Attic Chipboard pieces.
I have used Polaroid frames.....I chose to add patterned paper to 3 of then instead of photos......that's the beauty of  creating with a sketch you can interpret it to suit your style and I layered pieces of  this gorgeous Wildflower #3 on top

Showing more of the layers and details. Here I have used a pieces of the gorgeous Vine Border. If you have a large  chippie piece don't be afraid to snip it up  to make it smaller and add it to clusters etc.. Chipboard is so versatile.

The Challenge has a amazing prize of a $100 Dusty Attic Gift Voucher to the  Dusty Attic Website  for the winner. To enter all you need to do, is use the Mood Board OR the sketch OR both for Inspiration,  you can interpret it anyway you like. The only requirement is that Dusty Attic chipboard is used in your creation. Once completed simply add your link to the right side of the bar of the Dusty Attic Blog...

I have been very lucky to have had time to get into my scrap room and have a play.
Mr Mojo is still here at the moment and I hope it stays around for awhile.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy creating!

Janice xx

A beautiful page Janice. Great use of the frames as part of the sketch. The background paper is really pretty - I haven't seen that around anywhere; it works so well with the soft teal an deep magenta. Loved reading the journalling about a charming tradition carried on to the next generation.

Wonderful memory to capture. We never really made a big deal of easter and I am kind of sorry.. wasn't a biggie for us as kids either.
The three frames are lovely and the blooms are stunning but of course it was your journalling that caught my attention. Love that you continued this tradition for your kids and that you scrapped it ... I love this.
